The Odd Couple

Last night we had the T's over for dinner. Their son, W is already Rory's BFF/"friend that is a boy" aka her boyfriend.
When they see each other they go in for a hug and kiss (without any grown-up prompting).
We decided last night they are The Odd Couple. W is a boy who likes to mess things up, climb, jump (basically a tornado). Rory likes the same (minus climbing) in addition to cooking, taking care of baby and keeping things tidy.
Last night, they were playing with Rory's new toys and W proceeds to dump out the bag of toddler size Lego's all over the floor. Rory has a hissy fit because of the mess. W moves on to another toy and messes them all up and you can hear Rory shrill with anxiety. It was hilarious.
W is Oscar to her Felix.
They have been playing together well for some months now, but at the beginning I was afraid Rory would overpower W. Not any more. Rory is still bigger than him, but he can hold his own. It's almost like he knows how to push her buttons and it is so funny!
Towards the end of the night while J and I tickled the kids, etc Rory and W made eye contact while laying down. Then she rolled over, threw her arm over him and said "wuv u". Plain as day. Has she told her mother, father, grandmother, aunt she loves them? No. Only W. I cried a bit.
