First trip to the dentist!

Tuesday Rory had her first dental appointment. I took her to a Provisional of mine (Junior League) and it was such a great office! Rory had fun playing in the climbing tower before the appointment. I'm sitting there trying to fill out paperwork and the entire time Rory is saying, "Mommy, see you!" over and over! It was rather hilarious!
Then the actual appointment began and it went much better than I anticipated. Rory laid down very easy, she got to wear sunglasses, hold little mirrors and get her teeth washed.
She had her first x-ray being that she is missing one incisor and has all 19 of her teeth for her age (including 4 two year molars). Sure enough...that incisor is NO WHERE to be found! There isn't a baby tooth nor is there an adult tooth growing up there! So we discussed our options in the future as time will tell what we need for her. We talked cutting down on snacking to give her mouth a chance to rid itself of sugars from food (I need to get better about letting her snack anyway) and flossing. Dr. April also said we could use a fluoride toothpaste as long as Rory didn't eat it all! They also brushed on a little fluoride stuff that Rory kept trying to eat.
Overall a great visit!

So excited it went well. Just had Hannah's 2 year old check up yesterday morning, and the Dr. recommended several dentists. We'll be scheduling our first one soon!
