The Conversationalist

Rory still doesn't talk in full out sentences, but she definitely gets her point across. It is so amazing to me that just two years ago we had this tiny little baby that did nothing but eat, sleep and poop (and cry)!
Now Rory says things like "'scuse me", "sawy" and so many other things. When we go under a bridge while driving she says "tunnel!" and then after we are out she yells "bye tunnel!". After Rory wakes up in the morning and sufficient damage has been done to her room (shoes everywhere, diapers everywhere, etc) she stands at her door and says "coming Mommy, coming Daddy!". It's more question than statement, but in her world it means you're coming right? Rory is always ready to play outside, see a friend or sing a song.
Speaking of song singing...Ross has been singing "Blue Skies" to Rory almost since birth and he still sings it to her before bed time. Now Rory sings along and requests "more blue!" at bedtime and it just makes me cry hearing them sing to each other. She doesn't know all of the words, but vaguely remembers the last word to each stanza and sings it with a lot of gusto! Ross sings "noticing the days, hurrying by, when you're in love, my how they fly" and Rory sings "noticing the days" then hums then "FLY!". Adorable.
